Ever wondered what it feels like when a happy zebra approaches the window of your vehicle and requires a bite of carrot? Dream of pampering with an orangutan or standing next to an elephant and take a photo for posterity? Impossible? Think again!

Located amidst serene landscapes in Bogors, two hours away from Jakarta International Airport is a special drive-through Safari Park. A thrilling experience when road ends just to start new adventures of sea lions, dolphins, birdhouses, snakes, elephants and wild west show.

Almost immediately, the road starts winding up a hill. Is dense lush vegetation around you. Raisins small streams and huge boulders, the outside air is cool and crisp. As you can see the great doors of Taman Safari in the distance. Well, you remember the beginning of any animal documentary on HDTV ... hell is even better than HD! Yes Sirie! Sometimes dreams come true only

As his car slowly inch through its doors, you can not stop being a little surprised to see the variety of animals that roam freely in the park. Elephants on the left, right Zebras, Antelope in front of you, the giraffe is elevated above their car .... is simply magical!

Do not forget to see the amazing elephant show which takes place near the restaurant Rainforest. A word of warning, no matter how tame zebra or antelope eyes, DO NOT try to pet the animals and not leave your car to take photos! It is safe and is against park rules

Renting your own car and driver instead of a taxi is the best move you can tell your driver to stay longer in certain places to admire the beauty of the animals without having to watch the meter run by clouds. Passing through the world of herbivours and reach the high gates and fences, he was instructed to close the windows before entering the kingdom of predators. Come Visit Bogor

Bogor Puncak Pass

When Jakarta gets too hot to handle for me, I like to go to the higher elevation to get some cool weather. This place is called Bogor Puncak Pass. Puncak (= the summit in Indonesian) is located about 34 miles south from Jakarta. I enjoyed the wonderful ride along the tea plantations. You also can stop at its summit and enjoy the nice view while relaxing with a cup of freshly made tea.

The trick to beat the traffic is to try to go up there early in the morning , and leave during the early evening/evening. The Sunset o so beautiful and the sight of village lights and city light will take your breath away. But i should warn yo to avoid weekends. Why? because apparently the whole Jakartans think of the same thing and go to Puncak Pass for the weekend. ☺ Traffic jam and congestion is a nightmare. So traveling on the weekdays is best.

I recommend this place highly. The place can be very soothing and panoramic to for the eyes. It is very a different situation compared to the busy city of metropolitan Jakarta and Bekasi.
